Yarl’s’ Wood IRC Celebrates Equality

On 31 January we held our quarterly Equality and Cultural Awareness day at the Centre for staff and residents. The day was filled with different activities to allow everyone to attend and learn or try something new.

Taster food from our top nationalities was prepared by our very own Raj from the Cultural Kitchen and residents from different cultures. These were very well received by everyone.

Yarl’s’ Wood IRC Celebrates Chinese New Year 2012

On 23 January 2012 residents and staff celebrated Chines New Year at Yarl’s Wood IRC. Prior to the event all residents were invited to assist the Arts and Crafts tutor with a good luck money tree in the art room. Residents were also invited to learn and participate in designing their own T shirt, or cushion to mark the occasion
