Yarl’s Wood raise money for Children in Need

A Children In Need event was held on the 20th November within the Centre. Lots of fun was had by all, with various games and activities commencing throughout the day. The morning consisted of the residents baking cakes/biscuits/muffins, in preparation for selling them later in the afternoon. The libary held a quiz with a competition of “guess the teddy’s name”, which both residents and staff participated in.
The afternoon consisted of Tombola in the visits hall, where residents were invited to particpate with their families. The clothing bazaar was very popular in the sports hall with over 100 residents attending, with cakes and biscuits proving very popular.
A treasure hunt was held in the evening, where residents were seeking small pictures of Pudsey bear with a prize being allocated for each picture. Staff made contributions to the event by partipating in a staff mufti. Total raised for the day being £132.94!
